The PlayStation game is based on the TV anime series, plus completely new stories! There will be new characters and new Guymelefs, and all voices are done by the team behind the anime. The game itself will be a mix of action and adventure. You will control Escaflowne for some good old hack'n'slashing, and there will be plenty of conversations between the characters. And, there will be over 20 minutes of FMV from the anime!

The Vision of
Escaflowne is a very popular anime series by Kawamori Shoji, the man who designed the
Valkyries in Macross. It is a mix of fantasy and science fiction, with huge mechas in a
medieval setting. The story takes place on planet Gaea, here people fight with swords and
Guymelefs (8-meter-tall mechas). The main character here is Van Fanel and Kanzaki Hitomi.
Hitomi is a girl from earth who was accidentally transported to Gaea, while Van is the
king of Fanelia in Gaea. Together they control a Guymelef called Escaflowne.
